Latihan Fire Drill yang di buat bersama Pasukan Bomba dan Penyelamat dan di sertai oleh pihak media(RTB) . Dalam latihan ini murid-murid bergegas ketempat perkumpulan dan 2 orang murid telah dirancang untuk betahan sebagai mangsa yang perlu diselamatkan. Alhamdulillah latihan berjalan dengan lancar dan di ikuti dengan latihan menggunakan alat pemadam api bersama ahli Bomba Penyelamat Daerah Belait.

Last Saturday, 10th October, SRAT celebrated Hari Raya in the hall with all the pupils and teachers. There's fashion parade by Pra, fashion show by Year 1, 2 & 3, Year 4 sang the song originally sang by Anuar Zain & Ellina - Suasana Hari Raya. Then pupils were asked to vote for the best dressed boy & girl. For the finale, everyone were asked to dance to all the Hari Raya song and also a special song conducted by Cg Dewi Masayu (Pocho-Pocho). Everyone had fun. Then there's "open-class" where teachers went to visit every class for the food.. (hahahaha). Selamat Hari Raya everyone.

Pupils are excited because is here. They have lots of fun. There are different kinds of activities prepared by the Jollibee staffs. There are Hari Raya Card colouring contest, Hip Hip Hoorey Hoorey game, collecting elastic bands match and "Simon Says". There's also prize giving presentation for the Hari Raya Card colouring contest winner and a chance for the pupils to meet Jollibee Mascot. Pupils are given foods and beverages supplied by Jollibee. Pupils are entertained.

Final "Azan Subuh dan Doanya & Menghafaz Ayat-Ayat Lazim" Competition

Yesterday, Tuesday, 18th August at 8 a.m, SR Ahmad Tajuddin was the host for the final competition of "Azan Subuh dan Doanya & Menghafaz Ayat-Ayat Lazim Senegara". 17 schools competed in this competition. 9 boys competed for the "Azan Subuh dan Doanya" and 9 girls competed for "Menghafaz Ayat-Ayat Lazim".

Our Guest of Honour, Dr Hjh Jamilah bt Hj Mohd Yusof (Wife of our Belait District Officer) was accompanied by our Headmistress, Cg Hjh Siti Ajija and Assistant Headmistress, Cg Noor Aida.

Ustaz Sahrin began the competition with the reciting of Surah Al-Fatihah. Then our Headmistress gave a short speech about this competition and her hopes on what to be achieved at the end of this competition. The RTB crews were here also filming for the RTB news that night.

Spelling bee competition was conducted by Cg Judith on Saturday, 1st August at 12 noon in Year 6 Brilliant class. 10 pupils were chosen from Year 4, 5 and 6 to participate in this competition. Only 1 participant will represent SR Ahmad Tajuddin to the District Spelling Bee competition which is held today, 12th August at SR Sg Liang. Md Syyhirifudin b Radie was the lucky participant after competing with 9 other participants in SR Ahmad Tajuddin. Good luck to Md Syyhirifudin and make SRAT proud.

Green ASEAN

We celebrated "Green ASEAN" last Saturday, 8th August. Pupils and teachers were asked to wear green shirts. There were a few activities provided by the teachers to celebrate this day such as Note writing about they want to do for the earth they live in for Year 6, Word Search Puzzle for Year 2, 3, 4 & 5 and Maze Labyrinth for Pra. Pra also wore green costumes made of green manila card with the help of their parents. The finale activity was the "Paper Recycling" Activity conducted by Cg Azlina. Pupils were asked to bring used papers for these activity. Overall, the pupils had fun and they learned that paper can be re-use to help save earth. Well done to SRAT's ASEAN committee.

Music Course at SR Keriam, Tutong

Today is our 2nd final week for the SPN21 Music Course for Yr 4 teachers. These are the few that attended the course today. Thanks to our facilitators, James, Amalina, Fadhil and (i can't recall his name... hehehe) for being patience with us throughout the course since March. Holidays extended for 1 more week

Holidays were extended until 4th July due to the swine disease. Most of the affected people were students. So to avoid this disease to spread widely, the Ministry of Education decided to extend the holiday (as adviced by Ministry of Health. School will be reopen on 6th July. So, to pupils out there, please take care of yourself and stay home. Don't forget to read your books and finish up your homework. See you in school soon.

Tug-Of-War Final

SRAT managed to get 2nd place in tug-of-war today. We were beaten by SOAS (1st place). Thanks to Cg Nazrin and Ustaz Hannafi for their moral support to our tug-of-war team. Anyway, congrats to you guys. At least you're in the top 3. We'll be 1st next year, insyaAllah.....

Here are some of the activities pics on what we did that day. Class teachers from each level had prepared differents games for theis pupils. Prizes were sponsored by the class teachers themselves. Prizes were presented by our own Headmistress, Cg Hjh Siti Ajija and towards the end of the activitiy he prizes were presented by Cg Asmah. There were also barbequed prawns, sausages and goat meat prepared by Cg Nazrin, Ustaz Hannafi, Cg Akbar, Cg Hjh Othman, Ustaz Sahrin and Cg Suriati near the school kitchen at the back of the hall. Pupils really had fun that day because they got to relax after studying so hard for the past 5 months. Well, enjoy viewing the pics and happy holiday....

A tug-of-war between primary school was held on 23rd May, after Isya', at Padang KBRC, Kuala Belait. It was a "Round Robin Match" between SR Ahmad Tajuddin, SR SOAS & PGGMB. SR Ahmad Tajuddin managed to go to the final against SR SOAS which is going to be held on this Saturday night, 13th June, at Padang KBRC. Congratulations to SRAT's tug-of-war's players and to Ustaz Hj Hannafi b Hj Sunny & Cg Mohd Nazrin b Hj Abd Hamid for winning this event ang going on to the final. Good luck for this Saturday night. This event was organized by Bomba & Penyelamat Daerah Belait.

Launching of SRAT ASEAN Corner...

SRAT's ASEAN CORNER was launched last Saturday, 23rd May, 8.30 am at SRAT's Hall.Before the ceremony began, pupils were asked to sing our country's National Anthem.Our PGB, Cg Noor Aida bt Hj Hassan, officially launched SRAT's ASEAN CORNER.After that, Cg Azman gave a shart presentation about ASEAN to pupils, parents and teachers present.Parents were invited on the launching day and different kinds of foods from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia were sold.Then pupils were brought to tour around the both by their class teachers and levels. There's also a guest borad for the guest to sign and left their comments for improvements and compliments on our ASEAN booths.While waiting for their turn, the ASEAN national anthem were played and parents, teachers and pupils were invited to look at the foodstalls from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.Pupils have their break at 10.10 am. We continued the ceremony with Brunei's Games:- Tinting, Main Lompat Gatah, Simban, Sepak Takraw and Belalang Belatuk.We really had fun on that day. Congratulations to all the ASEAN committees, pupils and teachers for all your contributions and hard work to make this ceremony happened and for the beautiful booths. Our SRAT's ASEAN CORNER will be opened on school days, 8 am to 11.30 am.

1st for FUTSAL!!!

We're 1st for futsal which was held at Mumong Sports Complex hosted by SR Sungai Liang for Sekolah-Sekolah Rendah Kerajaan dan Bukan Kerajaan Daerah Belait. SRAT met SOAS that day and scored 1 - 0. Cg Nazrin & Ustaz Hannafi were the teachers responsible for SRAT's Futsals training. They did a great job and we're 1st. Alhamdulillah. The best part was that our own SRAT's futsal player, NAZIRUL HAZIQ BIN ADENI was nominated as the BEST PLAYER. Congratulations again to our Futsal players and trainers.

As for our Badminton team, sadly we were, as what Ustaz Hannafi expressed, "All knocked out." The Badminton tournament was hosted by SR Sungai Teraban at the same venue mentioned above (on a different date, of course). Cg Azman was the coach and again Cg Nazrin and Ustaz Hannafi were also involved in taking the pupils to the tournament. The players were:-

Abd Azizan Kadir Salim & Muhd Hafiz b Yakop played boys double.

Nazirah Faiqah bt Adeni played the girls singles.

My Digital Literacy Yr 6

SRAT won 1st place for "My Digital Literacy" for Yr 6 (27th April). Congratulations to Yr 6 pupils involved and to the teacher-in-charge. So Yr 6 & Yr 4 will be doing their presentations for the coming showcase with the rest of "My Digital Literacy" winners from the other zones in Belait District. Keep it up SRAT. Bayi bertanya lagi: 'Tetapi disini; didalam syurga ini, apa yang saya lakukan hanyalah bernyanyi, bermain dan tertawa...Inikan sudah cukup bagi saya untuk berbahagia.'

After a brief talk on Influenza A (H1N1), a short briefing and demonstration on how to wash our hands was given by Cg Sharinah. The demonstration was done by Cg Faizal accompanied by the pupils singing a "Happy Birthday" song. Then 2 pupils volunteered to show how they wash their hands.

Today SRAT had a brief talk about Influenza A (H1N1) given by our PGB, Cg Noor Aida. Pupils were all gathered in the hall for the talk after reading the Surah Yasin.What is Influenza A (H1N1)?

Influenza A (H1N1) is previously referred to as "swine flu". It is a respiratory disease cause by a new strain of influenza virus that spreads from human to human.

How can Influenza A (H1N1) be transmitted?

Flu can be transmitted when a person cough, sneezes or speaks.
Flu viruses are transmitted into the air through droplets and other people breathe in the viruses.
When these viruses enter the nose, throat, or lungs of a person, they begin to multiply causing symptoms of the flu.
Viruses can also be spread indirectly when a person touches a surface with flu viruses on it (for example, a door knob) and touches his or her nose or mouth.
Currently there's no evidence to suggest that it can be transmitted to humans from eating pork or pork products that have been thoroughly cooked.

What are the symptoms of Influenza A (H1N1)?

High fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, headache, muscle & joint pain, breathelessness & vomitting & diarrhoea occasionally.

How is it diagnose?

A respiratory specimen would generally need to be collected within the first 4 to 5 days of illness (when an infected person is most likely to be shedding the virus).
Some persons, eg, those who are immuno-compromised may shed the virus for 10 days or longer.

How to treat?

2 types of anti-viral medicines available in Brunei to treat infection with the Influenza A (H1N1):- a) loseltamivir (Tamiflu) & b) lzanamivir (Relenza).

Is there any vaccine for Influenza A (H1N1)?

Currently, no vaccine available to protect humans from Influenza A (H1N1).
It takes 4 to 6 months for vaccine manufacturers to produce a vaccine for this new strain of virus.
The seasonal influenza vaccine which is available in Brunei may not protect against H1N1 flu viruses.

Advices for travellers:-

Avoid unnecessary travel to affected areas.
Delay travel if ill.
Returning travelers who fall ill should seek medical advice & treatment at the nearest health center/hospitalReturning travelers from affected areas should notify the Disease Control Division at 2382023 for monitoring purposes.

What can you do to prevent infection?

Avoid contact with persons with symptoms of influenza.
Avoid crowded areas, stay home and maintain good ventilation, especially if you are unwell. Wear a surgical mask to protect others.
Cover your mouth and nose with tissue when sneezing or coughing; dispose tissue in dustbin.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose & mouth.
Keep distance from others when you are unwell to protect them.
Consult a doctor if you are sick, especially if you have signs of serious illness eg, breathlessness, vomiting etc.
Defer travel if you are not well.
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water frequently and when they are contaminated by respiratory secretions e.g. after sneezing.
Maintain a healthy lifestyle for good body resistance against infections:
- Eat a balanced & nutritious diet.
- Do regular exercises at least 30 minutes, 5 days a week.
- Get adequate rest & sleep.
- Learn to relax & overcome stress.
- Stop smoking.
Listen for the latest news, updates of the situation & health advisories regularly.

10 steps for keeping yourself and others safe:-

Wash your hands frequently.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
Avoid close contact.
Stay home when you are not well.
Cover your mouth and nose.
Keep distance.
Practice other good health habits.
Consult a doctor if you are sick.
Defer travel if you are sick.
Listen to your local health authorities.

A recorder sharing session was conducted by Cg Dk Sakdiah on the 5th May 2009. 3 more session will be held on 12th May, 19th May & 26th May. Today also, in the afternoon, SRAT went for the Maths Trail in SR PSJ Pg Abdul Momin. Cg Azlina took Syyahaabuddin b Radie, Nurul Azura & Dk Hilya bt Pg Zaidi to SR PSJ Pg Abd Momin at exactly 2.05 p.m. Sadly, TAKING PICTURES WERE NOT ALLOWED during the event. So, there's not much to see for this event. Kinda dissapointing. We're still waiting for the results though.

My Digital Literacy

Today, SRAT hosted a Science Project "My Digital Literacy": Multimedia Powerpoint Presentation. 5 schools participated in this event:- SR PSJ Pg Abdul Momin, SR Ahmad Tajuddin, SR Kuala Belait, SR PSB SOAS & SR Sungai Teraban.

The judges were Cg Wong shu Fen from SR PSN PMY, lorong 3 Seria, Cg Hjh Nur 'Azmah bt Hj Md Yunus from SR Muhammad Alam (as the head of judges) & Cg Suryani bt Hj Jailani from SM Saiyidina Ali.

The objectives of this event was to develop group work among the pupils, to provide the pupils experiences in the process of gathering information & to give opportunities in developing presentation skills.

The first school to present was from SR Sungai Teraban with their presentation on "Energy". SR Sungai Teraban managed to get the 4th place (68%). The presenters were Mohd Rahmat b roslan, Aiman Aqilah bt Abu Taib & Mohd Aiman b Nasir.Tajjul Hakim b Hj Masri, Nur Shahidatul Munirah bt Md Shadi, Siti 'Ain Nurrafidah bt Effandy & nur Izzatie bt Hj Khaliedin-Bam were presenters from SR PSB SOAS. Their presentation was about "Classifying Things". SR PSB SOAS was the winner for this event. They got the highest points of 87%. Congratulations SR PSB SOAS.SR Ahmad Tajuddin with Syyahaabuddin b Radie, Farah Akmalh bt Abd Rahim & Amir Salman b Norazman as presenters won the 2nd place (86%) with their presentation on "Living Things". Congrats SRAT & Cg Asmah. InsyaAllah we'll win next year.
5th place with 63% points was SR PSJ Pg Abdul Momin. Their presentation was on "Materials". The presentation was presented by Mohd Noor Syahmi b Mazne, Nurul Raihah Fithriyani Syukriah @ Natasyah bt Abdul Rahim, Dk Nur Iman Shahidah bt Pg Md Tani & Nurul Hamizah bt Hj Mohammad.The last school to present for this event was from SR Kuala Belait. Projek Warisan Budaya

Yesterday, Sunday 26th April 2009, 4 of our pupils (Rajie - Yr 6, Haziq - Yr 5, Hanapi - Yr 4 & Ak Isfahan - Yr 1) were involved in the Projek Warisan Budaya which was held at Sungai Liang Recreational Park and Sekolah Rendah Sungai Liang. The teachers involved were Cg Nazrin, Cg Hj Hannafi, Cg Akbar & Cg Ziana. Thanks to the teachers involved for waking up early in the morning just to fetch the pupils to Sungai Liang Recreational Park for the aerobic & hiking event.

Around 9 am, everyone went to SR Sungai Liang for the next event that was the Gulintangan and Traditional games workshops. Pupils were divided into groups (8 pupils per group). Each group were given 15 mins for each workshop.

Other than "Pasang" there were also "Congkak" and "Simban". "Congkak" was presented by Cg Azimah and "Simban " by Cg Zety (SR Merangking).

In the afternoon session, there were cultural performances performed by pupils from 9 schools. There were Silat (SR Merangking), Story-Telling (SR Labi), Persandingan Perkahwinan (SR OKPB Bukit Sawat), Pakaian Tradisional Puak Dusun & Iban (SR Lumut), Puisi (SR PSN Pg Mohd Yusof), Hadrah (SR Muhammad Alam), Puisi (SR PSB SOAS), Joget Baju Putih (SR Ahmad Tajuddin) & Sajak (SR Sungai Teraban). The main performances were from the Gulintangan workshop's group (conducted by Juin Antin's Gulintangan group). 2 groups were chosen as the best amongst all the groups that participated in this workshop, Labik and Gong. And in both groups our very own Rajie (Yr 6) played Labik for the Gong group and Ak Isfahan (Yr 1) played Gong for the Labik group. They can learn to play Gulintangan in just 15 mins (though they're not perfect).

On to the SEMIFINAL!!!

Today our school went for the "Tarian Asli Brunei" competition which was held in SR Rimba 1. Cg Hjh Farizan, Cg Dewi Fitriza and Cg Azlina were the teachers involved in bringing the dancers to SR Rimba 1. We took off from school at 12 noon and arrived there at half past 1. We're the first to arrive. While waiting for the other competitors to arrive we managed to do stage-blocking. The competition began around half past 2. SRAT was the 7th contestant to perform. Our dancers don't seem to be nervous.They performed well. The results were announced on that evening, too, at the end of the competition. But we didn't wait for the result as we have to go back to KB before 6pm. On the way back to KB, some colleague texted us the results... "Daleng, dpt kamu" (From Cg Jamilah, SRAP) & "Dng sek kamu masuk semi final. Sek kami pun masuk semi jua dng. Hehehe.. Congrats." (from Cg Azimah, SRBSB). We told the girls that they're going to the semi final and they said, "Banar kan teacher?" They didn't sound convinced. Hahahaha... well girls, you're in! SRAT IS GOING TO THE SEMI FINAL!!!! Alhamdulillah.... Hooray...!! Congrats to all SRAT's dancers and also to Cg Hjh Farizan & Cg Dewi Fitriza for all your hard work and effort. Do your best for the semi yarr...

Just got the the news from our collegues! We're in the 3rd place for FOOTBALL & NETBALL competitions (recently held in March) for KB schools competitions!! Alhamdulillah... Though we didn't get to the finals at least we're in the TOP 3!!! Congrats to SRAT's football & netball players & teachers-in-charge for your hard work... Keep up the good work & hope we'll go to the finals next time.. InsyaAllah....

Now that the 1st term school holiday is over, are you ready for the 2nd term??? There's more that need to be prepared and done in this term. There's the 'Tarian Asli Brunei' competition coming in a few weeks time (teachers-in-charge are Cg Hjh Farizan & Cg Dewi Fitriza). SRAT dancers are ready to go and show-off their talents. They've been practising almost everyday (after assembly & before going home). A well-dedicated teachers & pupils. Hope SRAT will go to the semifinals and on to the finals... AMIN!!!!There's also 'Senaman' competition right after the 'Tarian asli Brunei' competiton (not sure when, though). The boys are really good (instructed by Cg Faizal). The girls are good, too. They just need to put in more energy (instructed by Cg Kathy & Cg Azlina).
The 'Azan & Ayat-Ayat Lazim' competition is going to be held on the 4th of May for the district region. SRAT will be the host for this competiton. Preparations have been made to make sure the hall is prepared for this competition. It had started in early March (headed by Ustaz Sahrin, Ustaz Hanapi & Cg Nadzrin - Congrats to you guys!).

'Hadrah' competition is in early April. This our 1st attempt to join this competition. Who knows, maybe SRAT could win. InsyaAllah. Ustaz Hanapi, are they ready yet??? Hehehehe....

ASEAN competition will be held around May & June. (Head Committee - Cg Dewi Masayu).
